Ingredients

  • 1 CHABASO Sourdough boule
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the dip-filled bread bowl.
  2. Prepare the Bread Bowl: Cut off the top of the sourdough bread loaf and carefully hollow out the center, leaving a thick border all around to form a sturdy bowl. Tear the removed inner bread into chunks to use for dipping later.
  3. Mix the Dip Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add Vegetables: Gently fold in the chopped fresh spinach and chopped artichoke hearts into the dip mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed without crushing.
  5. Fill the Bread Bowl: Spoon the prepared dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl, filling it generously and smoothing the top.
  6. Arrange Bread Chunks: Place the bread chunks torn from the center around the bread bowl on a baking sheet for toasting alongside the dip.
  7. Bake the Dip Bowl: Place the assembled bread bowl and bread chunks into the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling hot and golden on top.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve the dip hot with the toasted bread chunks, and optionally fresh vegetables or crackers for dipping.
