Creamy Spinach Artichoke Bread Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 CHABASO Sourdough boule
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the dip-filled bread bowl.
- Prepare the Bread Bowl: Cut off the top of the sourdough bread loaf and carefully hollow out the center, leaving a thick border all around to form a sturdy bowl. Tear the removed inner bread into chunks to use for dipping later.
- Mix the Dip Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until smooth and creamy.
- Add Vegetables: Gently fold in the chopped fresh spinach and chopped artichoke hearts into the dip mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed without crushing.
- Fill the Bread Bowl: Spoon the prepared dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl, filling it generously and smoothing the top.
- Arrange Bread Chunks: Place the bread chunks torn from the center around the bread bowl on a baking sheet for toasting alongside the dip.
- Bake the Dip Bowl: Place the assembled bread bowl and bread chunks into the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling hot and golden on top.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve the dip hot with the toasted bread chunks, and optionally fresh vegetables or crackers for dipping.
